Meghalaya has ann༒ounced it will be regulating online gaming in the state and operators will need to obtain a license to conti꧃nue their operations.
Following a cabinet meeting last Thursday (January 14), Minister-in-charge of Power, James Sangma, said: "In order to regulate gaming within the state aꦕnd to bring revenue to the state government, we felt it necessary to enact a law for the same and therefore the draft 🅺ordinance was placed in front of the cabinet for its approval."
Both the law department and finance de🐟partment♎ had been consulted, with the pair giving their approval.
