In the latest ex𒐪ample of a gaming site looking to recruit and engage users in a world where nearly all live sport is suspended, MyTeam11 has launched a new quiz.
The fantasy sports platform, best known for its cꩲricket game, has created a new hourly competition to run on its existing app. Players will be faಞced with 10 questions and have the chance to win cash prizes.
It appears the release of the quiz product was designed at least partly in response to the coronavirus pandemic which has wiped out the sporting cale♏ndar, including th﷽e Indian Premier League (IPL). The popular cricket competition would normally be running now and forms a major focus of MyTeam11’s strategy and income stream.
MyTe𝐆am11 COO and founder Sanjit Sihag said in a press release published at that: "Our users are ardent sports lovers who have high technical understanding and knowledge about their games. At a time w𒁏hen live sports are suspended globally because of COVID-19, it was important for us to provide them with enough reasons to keep their minds engaged and sports quiz rightfully fits the bill.
“Quizzingও is a passion for many and that will not only interest the ardent fantasy game💟rs but also attract a large sports-loving audience across the length and breadth of the country. As we progress we will also add other genres to diversify the quiz content and increase the mass appeal of the product.”
The company statement also declared that: “With the addition of MyTeam11 Quiz, the fantasy gaming giant also becomes the first fantasy sports platform in the industry to offer knowledge-based online compe𝄹tition.”
According to the Indian Federation of Sports Gaming (IFSG), MyTeam11 has nearly 90 million users in a market with 14 established fantasy sports operators. While MyTeam11 is best known for its cricket game, kabaddi, volleyball, basketball, football and h𒁏ockey also feature on the platform.
And at the end of February, the firm launched the SportsTiger app, closely followed b▨y the introduction of rummy in April.
